a picture of brisbane, from my balcony. the exposure was approximately 30 seconds, the camera being a canon eos 300 slr, with, in this instance, a 28 - 50 mm lense.

the idea was to see if i could capture the stars, taking into account the lights of the city. they didn't show well on the scan, but this is a good example of how bright the city is, compared to the usual lights at night...

now i see a reason to call it "BrisVegas"; it's all glowing and, well, gold. it makes me think of what vegus would be like - the lights are always on, you know, everything's glowing and what not.
a bit of size reduction would've been good, even to about 900px wide; it's just so huge and requires scrolling across to see the entire picture. still, the detail is really good, so that makes it worth it.

u can actually see the stars pretty well! its a fantastic shot.. a favourite! well done chappy! the mixture of the night sky and the bright city lights is really cool! congratulations!

i got it so bright by putting it on a 30 second exposure
